At the end of this course you will posses the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to Organize & Conduct NRA Concealed Carry (CCW) course for personal defense!
Basic Instructor Training
(BIT)
Day 1:

This BIT course is a PRE-REQUISTE in becoming in NRA CCW Instructor.
If you ALREADY COMPLETED the BIT course in the last 2 years, you do not have to come to this class (MUST HAVE PROOF of BIT COMPLETION)
At the end of this course you will posses the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to Organize & Conduct NRA Basic Firearms Training Courses.

Wednesday, September 25th

This is the second PRE-REQUISITE to become an NRA CCW Instructor. (If you completed this course, you DO NOT need to attend on this date: MUST provide PROOF Certificate of Completion for the NRA Basic Pistol Course)
Course Lessons:
Lesson I:
Firearm Safety:
The course begins with an in-depth exploration of firearm safety principles. Students will learn about the fundamental rules of safe gun handling, including how to safely load and unload firearms, how to handle ammunition, and how to store handguns securely.
Lesson II:
Pistol Nomenclature and Selecting a Pistol for Self-Defense:
You will gain a thorough understanding of various types of handguns, their components, and how to select a suitable pistol for self-defense. Our instructors will guide you through the anatomy of a handgun, helping you become familiar with its different parts.
Lesson III:
Basic Defensive Pistol Skills: Learn fundamental defensive shooting techniques, including grip, stance, sight alignment, and trigger control. You will practice these skills on the range under the guidance of our certified instructors.
Lesson IV:
Drawing from Concealment: Master the techniques for safely and efficiently drawing your pistol from concealment.
Lesson V:
Loading and Stoppage Remediation:
Understand how to load and unload your pistol, as well as how to handle and clear stoppages.
Lesson VI:
Mindset:
Develop the proper mindset for carrying a concealed weapon and understanding the responsibilities involved.
Lesson VII:
Carry Modes and Pistol Concealment:
Explore different carry modes and methods for effectively concealing your pistol.
Lesson VIII:
Firearm Cleaning:
Learn how to properly disassemble, clean, and reassemble your handgun to ensure its longevity and reliability.
Lesson IX:
Sport Shooting and Training Activities:
Discover additional training activities and sport shooting opportunities to further enhance your skills.
